One of Chris' earliest memories is of being told by his parents that he was either coming skiing, or staying in the chalet by himself.

He went skiing.

That was when he was 3 or 4 and has been an avid skier since. In 1995, Chris began the arduous task of becoming qualified as a ski instructor. His first week's teaching was in a little-known Austrian resort in the shadow of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, teaching 16 Dutch 4-year-olds - still to this day his hardest week's teaching. After a few years enjoying many of the wonderful resorts in Austria, Chris spend 2 seasons working in the Aosta valley in Italy and enjoying the wonderful hospitality and food, before crossing over Mont Blanc to begin 5 seasons working in France - first in Courchevel and then in probably the finest ski resort in the world - Chamonix.

Sadly, time caught up with Chris and as the music became increasingly busy, the options for ski teaching become fewer and further between. Fortunately, Chris can now enjoy a more relaxed skiing agenda and has turned in to an entirely 'fair-weather' skier!
